Custom table number system designed and built for Rustica in Minneapolis. Rustica introduced a lunch/dinner menu and needed a system of table numbers built to match kitchen tickets with customers waiting at tables.
A set of icons with coordinating information cards were created to tell the story of the farmers and producers behind the meals, giving customers something to read while they waited at their table. Wood frames were built, painted and worn by hand to give off a rustic feel. Interchangable inserts mounted and a print template was created to work in more future features.
Custom gift card holder at point of sale for Rustica in Minneapolis. Client wanted a specific functional piece built new, but wanted an antique feel to bring warmth to their counter by the register. Piece built to be free standing, and hold 2 stacks of cards. Beveled backs refined and applied after test runs of grabbing cards.
Retail / Point Of Sale design & build for Minneapolis' Dogwood Coffee Co.'s coffee bar in Calhoun Square. Concept sketches were created and system built for product display, menu boards, and signage. Pipe system designed and built to hold 12 & 16 oz coffee bags on the island where purchases are made. 3 Coffee islands trimmed out with reclaimed Douglas Fir, painted and distressed by hand weathering to tie signage and display pieces together.
With 3 islands in the cafe set up, a custom "Order Here" sign was added to help direct new customers. Reclaimed metal was used to build the sign, and the paint was lightly distressed by hand.
Interior Design & build for Minneapolis' Dogwood Coffee Co.'s coffee bar in Calhoun Square. Reclaimed wood was used for the coffee condiment island & bar top. Island top was branded and weathered by hand using coffee to stain the wood. Letterpress numbers were used to imprint numbers into the wood.
Retail Coffee Display for Minneapolis' Dogwood Coffee Co. for in-store features. Reclaimed wood and metal used to build custom display shelves. Top Back is a removable mesh frame for attaching call-outs and notes on the products.
Custom portable jewelry display booth, designed and built for EKate Designs. Client wanted a particular style for a table that was easy to transport and set up. 5 bulletin boards wrap the frame for additional display area. A rolling cart holds: the metal base which folds in half, the wooden top rolls into a 32 x 12 inch roll held together with leather straps, and 5 bulletin boards that stack side by side.
Custom Desk designed & built for Minneapolis advertising agency, Station K & Co. Client purchased reclaimed door and a base was built to hold door and glass top. Reclaimed porch posts were dipped to remove old paint, and repainted with colors picked out by the client to match their new office. Posts and rails hand weathered, and branded.
